The information collected needs to be stored for later use. Only up-to-date and quality controlled data should generally be stored, although historical data on production or import volumes may be useful for time trend analysis. Confidentiality should be guaranteed for confidential business information.
With limited resources, the implementation proposed for this sub-element is:
- Storage of selected information on a standalone computer, IUCLID or a National Database, if available. When setting up a National Database for industrial chemicals one needs to consider all the information, bearing in mind which information and data need to be stored in the National Database and which could be stored in specific data bases as only a specific user group would need access to the information or data.
