WHO - Guidelines for laboratory and field testing of mosquito larvicides [2005]

Description:

The guidelines provide specific and standardized procedures and guidelines for testing larvicides, including bacterial larvicides and insect growth regulators (IGRs), against mosquitoes. They aim to harmonize the testing procedures carried out in different laboratories and institutions to generate data for the registration and labelling of larvicides by national authorities. The document provides guidance on laboratory studies and both small and large scale field trials to determine (i) the efficacy; (ii) field application rates; (iii) operational feasibility; and (iv) acceptability of mosquito larvacides.

Why this Tool/Guidance?
