It provides (i) an overview of the principles and framework for evaluating uncertainty in hazard characterization; (ii) a detailed description of the approach to evaluating uncertainty in hazard characterization; (iii) implementation of the approach; and (iv) interpretation and use of results.

Information provided is useful to support and harmonize public health decision making in the field of risk assessment.
