It provides (i) general guidance on prioritizing chemicals in drinking-water for risk management using limited information; (ii) practical guidance, at a local level, on identification of specific chemicals that maybe of concern; and (iii) likely sources of contaminants in particular circumstances such as chemicals from human settlements, chemicals from industrial activities, chemicals form agricultural activities and chemicals from water treatment.
