eChemPortal allows for simultaneous search of multiple databases and provides clearly described sources and quality of data. eChemPortal gives access to data submitted to government chemical review programmes at national, regional, and international levels. Users can search multiple sources of information simultaneously using a chemical substance name or CAS Registry Number and obtain direct links to the retrieved data within each site. For an efficient use of the search engine, tips and tricks are provided under General Information on the Portal. Users may also wish to consult the individual participant databases if they need to be assured that they have the most up-to-date information.
Why this Tool/Guidance?
eChemPortal has direct links to collections of chemical hazard and risk information prepared for government chemical review programmes at national, regional and international levels and classification results according to national/regional hazard classification schemes or GHS (when available).
It allows access to information on pesticide active ingredients and ingredients of products as well as decisions on registration of pesticides in a number of different regions.
