Notification/registration of chemicals
For limited resources, the steps proposed for the implementation of this sub-element are:
- Information collection and data generation for selected chemicals by producers and importers.
- Information transfer from industry to the government, including identification and substantiation of CBI claims and (optional) fees. Use an electronic template for the information transfer.
- Assessment of the completeness of the information received including review of CBI substantiation claims made and provisional storage of selected information, for example, in a standalone computer or a National Database if available, including protection of CBI.
- Dissemination and protection (considering CBI aspects) of the stored information through batch files to other government authorities and of non-CBI to the public by publications.
