Evaluation of the effectiveness of the system for protecting the environment can be implemented through environmental monitoring in the following media: air, water and soil.

One needs to use laboratories to measure selected chemicals in the environment. The appropriate government ministry or agency could be responsible for developing and implementing a system to measure the selected chemicals. The results of the measurements could be collected under the information/data collection element of the framework. It will be made available to the government which will analyse and use the information to give feedback about the need to amend the framework.
