Disposal
Waste hazardous chemicals and their containers should be handled or disposed of in a manner which eliminates or minimizes the risk to health and to the environment, in accordance with national law and practice.
Governments should carry out the following to ensure the safe disposal of chemicals:
- Develop and implement policies and guidance for disposal of hazardous waste
- Create recording systems (inventory) and storage for hazardous waste
- Set up adequate disposal facilities for hazardous waste
