Fees and Charges

Fees can, for example, be requested for service by government that complement industry obligations such as controlling the quality of submitted information or reviewing assessments with a feed back to industry. Fees can be requested for registration, licensing, authorisation of import permits and training inspections. A country with low resources might find it difficult to introduce fees together with new obligations that lead to additional costs for industry. At the same time a low resource implementation also means fewer obligations on industry than in a more sophisticated framework. Therefore not be many fees will be required in a low resource implementation option.
