Exposure Control

Exposure controls are the technical, organisational or legal risk management measures that are expected to decrease the exposure of a chemical to an acceptable level determined in the risk evaluation and socio-economic analysis.

The steps proposed to implement this sub-element are as follows:

  1. Decide on an effective, practical, enforceable additional risk management measures necessary to manage the risks.
  2. Request industry to implement the risk management measures through legislation, administrative measures or voluntary measures.
