FAO / WHO : Guidelines on licensing of public health pest control operators [2015]

The guidelines provide advice on the licensing of public health pest control operators. Guidance includes information on (i) legislation; (ii) practical aspects of licensing; (iii) role and responsibilities of the licensing authority; and (iv) offences and penalties. Examples of typical application forms for various licences are provided.

Why this Tool/Guidance?

Information provided is useful to support environmental health decision making regarding the licensing of public health pest control operators within the framework of the International Code of Conduct on Pesticide management. They also provide guidance for the pest control operator industry in implementing best practices for the protection of public health and the environment.
