WHO/UNEP - Guidance for identifying populations at risk from mercury exposure [2008]

The guide is intended to inform countries concerned about the potential health effects of mercury pollution and to assist in identifying specific populations at risk. The document describes methods that have been used to estimate exposure to mercury and environmental models useful in predicting exposure. In addition it gives an overview of (i) mercury toxicity; (ii) exposure pathways; (iii) health effects (iv) environmental impact; and (v) reference levels.
